The Furbo Pet camera is a novel idea which enables you to interact with your dogs even when you are not at home. This is a home security camera with a difference. My first impression was that it is a very attractive camera with an oak style lid which wouldn’t look out of place in any room. The camera works in conjunction with the Furbo App which was much easier to connect to than other cameras I have used with a very simple and easy to use interface. If in doubt a training video is easily accessible through the app settings.  In Just 5 minutes it was up and ready to go.   The camera comes with a number of features that are particularly appealing such as a bark alert and a “snack call”. Should you hear your dog barking you can call the dog to the camera or ask them to stop barking and by a simple touch of a button,  release a treat/s (depending on the size of kibble). Before releasing the treat the Furbo plays a 6 second pre-recorded sound to get your dogs attention. It won’t be long before your dog is conditioned to expecting a treat following the sound.  The camera offers two video quality settings and the lesser 720p is pretty good, but if you require a higher resolution then 1080p is also available. For nighttime, there is also a night setting where the quality of the immediate area is pretty good. There is also a means of zooming in should you want to take a close look, up to approx 7 x. This is a great way to keep a check on your pets whilst you are away from home and keep them happy.
